Castle Rock

Castle Rock derives its name from the distinctive castle-shaped butte that looms above its downtown area. This substantial interstate community has experienced population growth over the past few decades, estimating around 70,000 residents in 2020. Positioned on I-25, south of Denver and preceding Colorado Springs, Castle Rock sits at an elevation of 6,224 feet within Douglas County. The downtown area features a historic district adorned with numerous restaurants and quaint shops. Notable among these is Castle Cafe, a former hotel and bar that has transitioned into a renowned establishment celebrated for its family-style dishes, including a delectable pan-fried chicken dinner.
